Not the way to start the morning
Oct. 20th, 2004 09:40 amSo there I was minding my own business, making a legitimate left hand turn on a green light, when suddenly Boom! I got rear-ended. I hesitated 'cause there was a woman turning right who was GOING, no matter what, and the person behind me slipped on the wet pavement and ended up taking part of my bumper off.
There's not a lot of damage - the bumper's bent, and off its mooring on one side by about an inch, and a brake light is broken. The guy in the car with me said he was fine, and my injuries seem to be limited to a bruise along the back of my arm. Apparently the edge of the driver's seat is pretty rigid.
This is the first accident I've had in Ontario, though, so I'm about to start wading into the mess that is our insurance system. I've got the other driver's name and address, but I'm not really sure I need it.
Any advice before I start?

Date: 2004-10-20 10:35 am (UTC)I hope you are right and that your condition does not change....my brother and I were rearended when I was 20 or so. We were both fine until the next day - I remained fine, but he ended up on the flat of his back for 3 days in some reasonably serious pain.
I hope C. is also fine....I will go call him to check on him.
(*huge hug*)
