So, up until a few months ago, I had been single for a very long time. Like, we're talking decades, here.

So, you'd think my parents would want to meet the guy I've actually been dating, right? They're in town this weekend, up from St. John's - Dad's got business meetings, so Mom came up with him to do some shopping, visit with me, etc. They're pretty heavily booked, but they were keeping Saturday night free. We were going to go out to dinner, and they were going to meet M.

I just got a call from Mom, and now they have plans for tomorrow night - dinner with the clients that Dad's meeting. The original plan was for that to be tonight, but things got switched around. Now, I guess I can give M a call, and ask him to come in tonight for the dinner thing - he lives an hour out of town, but he should be able to make it. Only, neither Mom nor Dad have their cell phones with them, so I won't be talking to them again until fairly late this afternoon, and don't really know what the plan is. Between now and then, they could very easily have gotten something else set up.

It just strikes me as very odd, that they don't seem to really have any interest in meeting him. Or at least, it seems that way to me. Odd.

Dinner and a date

That is odd. But, no offence, your parents are a little bit odd. I mean, how many people do you know who would ... hmm. Nevermind. Maybe not something you want on a public journal. (I'm thinking about the downpayment thing.)

Anyway, I like M, if that means anything. Hope dinner works(ed) out.
