Flat, flat, flat

The flatest thing ever? That would be the right front tire on my little car. It's completely on the ground, just looking up at me sadly. I guess one flat tire in 8 years isn't a horrible average, but these are fairly new tires.

I'm a little peeved, given that I had the car in for maintenance yesterday and they checked the tire pressure then. However, since it went completely flat between 8 and 1, I'm guessing I ran over a nail or something.

Oh well, the CAA guys are on their way to put the spare in the trunk (which has been there for 8 years, and I'm hoping is still good) on, and I'll then be off to the garage to get it fixed. Just what I need on this lovely winter's day. *sigh*

Here's hoping I don't need to buy 2 tires, or a new rim. At least I wasn't driving when it happened.

ETA: Good news, it was a nail that they could pull out of the tire and patch. Total cost was less than $20, so that was a relief!

Yeah, having it blow when I was driving would have been really scary. This way, it was just annoying. Much less stress. *g*

Thanks, at least it was nice and easy to fix. And one flat tire in 8 years isn't a horrible record, after all. *g*
