The snow last weekend made for some pretty sights out near Mike's place. So, when we took the dogs for a walk between the snow squalls on Sunday, I took my camera with me. We lucked out, having the snow on Saturday - if it had happened any earlier in the week, the trails would have been groomed for cross-country skiing, and that would have meant that we shouldn't walk on them.

Winter Wonderland
Walking through the Shady Mills Conservation Area. I do really like the look of this one - the light is just so clear, y'know? |

Pups in the Great outdoors
Havoc and Mayhem, wanting to run down the trail. They absolutely loved being out in real snow for the first time in about a month. They were definitely showing their sled-dog roots. Hmmm. I wonder if Mike's managed to hook them up to the sled this week and let them pull him around the park? |

Snowy Willow
The gnarled willow in Mike's front yard, snow-covered and pretty. This is quite the cool tree - it looks like it's a bonsai, but it just grows that way. I wish I'd gotten earlier in the morning, before some of the snow had blown off the branches. |
