The Great Outdoors
Jun. 24th, 2005 01:23 pmI'm off shortly to spend the weekend camping in Algonquin Park. I have bug spray, sunscreen, antihistamines, beer, and a swimsuit. Oh, and a tent. That's all I need, right? *g*
Truth be told, I'm really looking forward to it. We're going biking tonight and/or tomorrow, and that should be a lot of fun. Plus, we'll be far enough north that we may be able to see some of the Northern lights. I think the weekend after Solstice is a great time to be doing this ... Lots of daylight, warm weather (put not the oppressive heat of August), and I'm hoping that once the sun does go down, we'll actually be able to see the night sky.
There something about a listening to a cracking campfire while leaning back and looking at the night sky that just makes me feel...peaceful.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. *g*
