There have been some pretty good things going on this week, after all, so I think it might be time to document them. *g*

  • Dinner not once, but twice with [livejournal.com profile] mycrazyhair in the space of a single week. I think I'm gonna like her living here.

  • I appear to finally have developed a colour sense. Looking at decorating things (paint chips and rugs), I came up with two separate colour combinations that [livejournal.com profile] mycrazyhair agreed with. As someone who's been known to make colour combinations that left friends shuddering (ask [livejournal.com profile] angelfire1979 about my choices for wearing with turquoise sometime), this was quite an accomplishment for me.

  • I still have no definite place to live, but I have a very strong possible yes. I'm likely to take an apartment in that building, anyway - it just might not be the exact one I want. The one I may end up with is a little lacking is closet space, but I'll figure a way around that if I have to. The price is right, and I loved living in that building, the last time around.

In other news, I'm still trying to decide whether or not I'm going to Ad Astra next month. I've booked a hotel room, but I might need that weekend to organize & pack. However, the mailing I received from them last night promised coffee, chocolate, and scotch tastings, and I think those are tipping the balance in favour of a "yes". *g*

You should totally come to Ad Astra. I can help you pack during the week. Heck, I've only allocated three weekend days to packing, and I'm going to be done in time. No way can it possibly take you nearly as long to pack your place as it's taking me to organize and pack my house.

So how do we sign up for the chocolate and scotch tastings? Are we supposed to mail something ahead of time?

According to the flyer, tickets are available at the door, and are limited. I assume that means at registration, and not at the tasting itself, but I could be wrong.

Hmmm. I guess that means I'd better get to registration early. Because those were two of the best things about last year's Ad Astra.

Can I tag along too? I'm thinking of hitting all three, honestly. :)

No champagne tasting this year? [pout]

Sounds like fun!

Hmmm. Well, we could always arrange our own champagne-tasting.

There is a beer tasting as well, but I think that's it. I could be wrong, though - I only really remember the ones I'm actually interested in attending, after all. *g*

I'll probably be going to all three, if you're looking for company. I doubt we'll see [livejournal.com profile] mycrazyhair at the coffee tasting, though.

Beer tasting too! is this a Sci-Fi Con or a drinking festival?

There's a difference? *g*
