Long time, no Post

I've been incredibly busy over the last few months. I've got a number of half-written journal entries sitting on my hard drive, either at home or at work. It takes me a while to write them, since I'm really self-conscious about the way I put words together. The whole stream-of-consciousness thing just doesn't seem to work for me.
Anyway, lots of stuff happened - I went to the Rolling Stones concert for Toronto, saw the Justified & Stripped tour the next night, and have spent the last few months frantically working as part of the concom for Torcon 3, this year's Worldcon. Somewhere in there, I also started a new relationship, which actually seems to be going pretty well. I'm hoping that now that things have settled down a bit (and I seem to have caught up on my sleep deprivation), I'll actually start posting again.
Well, that and the new TV season - maybe I'll have some fannish stuff to post about.
Speaking of which, some thoughts on last night's The O.C.
Anyone else think Sandy was waaaay out of line? It's one thing to mention to your wife that she should think about quitting, but it's quite another to tell her boss (even if he is her father) that quitting is what she wants. I wanted to slap him, and if I'd been Kirsten, that would not have been glossed over easily. It was hugely manipulative, especially since she never even agreed with him about quitting.
Any bets on how long before Kirsten's sister shows up, now that we know she exists?
Adam Brody, was, as always, amazingly cute. And Summer went from bitch to sweet girl and back again so fast it gave me whiplash. Her reaction to Seth's memories of her as an 8 year-old, and as a 12 year-old was kinda sweet, and those memories actually start to give us a reason why Seth is so hung up on her.
Foy any Bujold fans out there, Chapter 5 of her latest has been posted on the EOS website here. It's in the bookstores in 2 weeks, and I can't wait!
A worldcon report is coming soon, I promise. And maybe I'll go back into my half-written Justified & Stripped entry, and try to finish it.

So where's the WorldCon report?

Date: 2003-09-11 06:55 pm (UTC)I'm still not writing actually - these words are a figment of your imagination. I'm actually on my way to bed, to try to catch up on some sleep.
Hopefully, sometime tomorrow, or Saturday morning. That's only two weeks after the fact, so that's okay, right?
Re: So where's the WorldCon report?
Date: 2003-09-12 08:40 am (UTC)But why were you up until 5:30? Trouble sleeping, or were you just watching Buffy until dawn? And here I thought I was zonked because I only got 6 1/2 hours last night.
Hope you're feeling better.
