Veronica Mars 1.7 "The Girl Next Door"

Once again, I am in awe. I love this show!
That was a fun episode, but I'm hoping that the anvils that were flying furiously around were at least partially red herrings. The whole incest/mixed-up family thing was just a little too strong. I mean, really, Hamlet? Everywhere?
Which leads to a couple of questions:
One answered timeline question - Duncan broke up with Veronica before Lilly died. I had thought that the break-up had been either a reaction to her father's investigation, or a result of the general apathy that Duncan was feeling due to the anti-depressants. I was wrong, there.
I want more Logan/Weevil interaction! Those two are fun together (I think I've found my new OTP), and the more we see Logan out of the '09ers circle, the more I like him. It seems his general attitude is a reaction to an abusive Dad, and the peer expectations of the rest of the 09er crowd. Take him away from that, and he's not that bad a guy.

- Who is Veronica's father? Does Duncan believe that they're half-sibs, and that's why he broke up with her? Keith's line about it taking a special kind of man to raise another man's kid as his own didn't come off as being in any way about himself. Of course, Keith may not know, even if Veronica isn't his.
- Was Weevil telling the truth? Is Lilly his little sister? He was pretty emphatic that their relationship wasn't "like that" when his friend was smirking about him "tapping that white ass". Which way should that line be read? Either he was truly in love with her, or she was, as he said, his little sister. His reactions would hold true in either case - ardent lover, or protective big brother.
- Does either of these questions relate to Lilly's "good secret"? I can see her thinking that she & Veronica were sisters would be good, but she was a little too bubbly about it, I think. She'd have known that would have upset Veronica enormously. But Weevil being her brother...that may be it. I could see how she might think having the school bad-ass for a big brother would be kinda cool.
