The big surprise party? It actually worked! My sister had no idea that a party was about to happen. It was a lotta fun to see her face as she walked in - she noticed the flowers first, and made a comment about maybe S (her sister-in-law) having been by to do some cleaning as a B-day gift, and then we all jumped up with a "Surprise" and her jaw hit the floor. It was fun!
All night, she would look over at her husband on random occasions, shake her head, and say "I can't believe you pulled this off".
So, it was a fun evening, and now I have 3 days of absolute down-time before heading back to T.O. I figure I'll do some reading, watch some of the 3rd season of Babylon 5 (I brought the DVDs with me), and generally relax myself into a coma. I think I may have needed a break, actually.
Actually, we'll probably spend tomorrow getting Mom's garden planted. First week of July, and she's got no annuals in her flower beds because the weather hasn't been nice enough. And then she wonders why I'm not all that enthusiastic about moving back...

Date: 2004-07-05 05:59 am (UTC)What, you mean aside from the fact that your job and your friends and your guy and your life are all here in Ontario?
Glad you had a good time and surprised your sister. Have fun with the relaxation.
I'll be in Toronto Saturday morning if you're back and free. (I've got a hair appointment around noon but am free until then. Of course, you're probably seeing M.)

I'll let you know about Saturday. M's supposed to be up north (which means I'll be free), but last he heard he was on the waiting list for counselors for the camp, so he may not be.
