Tickets for GBS!

I just finished ordering our tickets to see Great Big Sea in 3 weeks. I can't believe they're doing club shows again!

Although, I gotta admit, the last time I saw them in a club (Lee's Palace, about 6 years ago, I think), I swore I was never going to another show for them in a small venue. I was black-and-blue when I left, 'cause people were dancing around so much there was nowhere you could be and not be in the middle of a hyper-energetic dance floor. Hmmm. Sounds like fun, doesn't it?

I've missed the days of seeing them at the Horseshoe, when they first started. I wonder if the Phoenix knows to lay in a huge supply of dark rum for the event - I seem to recall the staff at Lee's being amazed at the amount they were going through. I'm not sure why, but that seems to be the drink of choice among Newfs. Next closest thing to Screech, I guess :-)

Well, one thing we COULD try is to get there really early and to get a table on the balcony overlooking the show. But I'll bet you want to dance. (And I know I do.) So, since we intend to be part of the hyper-energetic dance floor, I'm not sure how we can avoid the resulting bruises. *g*

And, C will also be there, although J's in France that week. Man, her life is tough :-)
