Friday Goods

An hour left before the weekend, and I figure it's time for some Good Things:

• An hour left until the weekend, natch!


• lunch with the girls tomorrow


• A really productive week at work. My to-do list is still longer than it was on Monday, but I got 5 incidents closed yesterday alone, and that makes this a good week


• My garden is growing. The hostas are getting bigger, all the tree type plants came back really well, and even the asiatic lilies survived the winter - I can't wait until they bud and bloom! (What? It's my first year with a garden to watch bloom in 20 years!)


• I managed to snag a ticket home for a week this summer on points, and I've even got the approved vacation time for it. Two whole weeks off, one in Newfoundland, and one here. Yay!

I've got clematis that I didn't trim back and now the new growth is over the dead sticks! LOL I've got to get in there and trim away the dead stuff and tie up the new stuff. I'm SO new at this taking care of property thing.

This week is filled with more wedding stuff. Honeymoon today and tomorrow, then coming into Toronto to send Mark Ritchie off to sunny California. (envy) Then the party on Saturday. It'll be good to see you! Is Mike coming with you?

Clematis is something else I might plant eventually, but next up will be some lilac bushes, I think. Those are going to go next to the fence, once the fence goes in in a couple of weeks. And we trimmed our hydrangea back so hard last year that I think we won't get any flowers on it at all - we wanted it bushy instead of tree-like, so we pruned kinda ruthlessly. *lol*

It'll just be me coming out next week. Mike has exams the next week, so he'll be home here, studying away...
