Well, the Pooka-cat spent most of Saturday in exactly this position... hiding on the stairs, watching the dogs very, very carefully. He did relax eventually, though. By Sunday afternoon he was hanging out on the couch and sleeping on the bed.
The only time the whole weekend the dogs really took any notice of him was when he jumped up on the kitchen counter. That was a no-no, so they barked and fussed, and Pooka jumped off.
Overall, I'd have to say it was a success. By Sunday evening, Pooka was only hissing at the dogs when they were being curious and trying to sniff him. And you know what, if I had a head the size of all of me 3 inches away, sniffing at me, I'd get a little defensive, too. *g*
So, I think they might be able to get along. This is a bit of a relief.
Just so you can get an idea how big the dogs are, this is Havoc.
