I went up to the site in Stouffville on Friday, since there was a rumour floatin' around that the builders were gonna start on my side of the street late last week. The good news? They have dug the holes (I have a hole in the ground! woo-hoo!).
I was so, so excited when I saw that they'd actually begun the work. So I climbed down into the hole to take a look, and what did I find? Bad news, of course. Sigh. They didn't dig the hole wide enough!
Then on to the weird. *g* I wandered around Main Street Stouffville for a while afterward and was completely freaked out by the fact that I could park in spots on Main Street, and there was no meter. I parked the car and looked around for a place to pay, and there was none. Parking on Main Street is free. Freaks me out, for some reason. A little bit of culture shock, I guess. *g*

Standing in my future house I kinda can't believe they've actually begun the thing! |
