Weekend Plans
Dec. 12th, 2003 12:51 pmI'm thinking this might be a fun weekend, although I'm not likely to be seeing M until Sunday.
Tonight, one of the people I work with is throwing a pre-Christmas dinner party, with a complete Christmas dinner. I've been delegated to bring the cranberries :-) It should be fun, and I'm looking forward to it. For all my problems with this job, I really like most of the people I work with.
Tomorrow, I'll be finishing my Christmas shopping (please, God), and starting in on the wrapping end of it. I think I'll put some Christmas music in the CD player, and just blast it while I'm doing the wrapping. That should help get me into the mood, yes?
Then, on Sunday, Evanescence! I'm so looking forward to that concert, even if they only have a single album's worth of songs. I love Amy Lee's voice, and I really want to see how it holds up live.
Anyway, it should be fun. Now, if I can just get through the rest of the afternoon...

Date: 2003-12-12 10:00 am (UTC)Cool. I'm feeling a bit guilty about the fact that I haven't thrown a Christmas party this year. Nice to know there's other stuff going on. But maybe next year I'll get back on track, particularly if (when!) I'm back in Toronto.

Christmas music with the wrapping could put you in the Christmas mood. Or it could just put you into overload, if you've just come back from a mall full of tinny speakers on high volume. Judicious addition of Christmas cheer may assist.

Me too. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high, but I love the music, and everytime I've seen them perform live on TV, they've sounded great. Should be good.

That's what I'm hoping for, too. It's nice that they can (seem to) be performing live, and still sounds good. It's not likely I'll ever go see No Doubt, for instance - every time I've seen them on an Awards show, Gwen Stefani has been painfully flat. Did you hear her on the Billboard Awards the other night? 'Twas awful.
