Decision made
Sep. 20th, 2006 11:52 amI've been waffling for the last month on something.
My car desperately needs the clutch replaced. And I was waffling back and forth between replacing the clutch (at a cost of about $1000) or getting a new car. Problem is, I like my car. It's small, it's good on gas, it usually goes just fine, I've got a half decent stereo system in it. Sure, it's 8 years old,but that doesn't mean I have to throw it out, right?
But if it's gonna start falling apart, I don't want to be just throwing good money after bad, y'know?
And the new little Mazdas are cute.
Or maybe a Jetta
Or maybe even a slightly larger Toyota - my only real complaint about the Tercel is the amount of road noise I hear on the highway.
Or maybe..
You see the problem?
I put off making the decision, and the clutch just gets worse and worse, and one day it's gonna give out entirely, and I'm gonna be stuck somewhere, having to call a tow truck to limp into a garage.
So I finally bit the bullet and called the service department.
My poor little car is going in the shop next week to have the clutch replaced. No new car for me this year. *g*

Date: 2006-09-21 01:04 pm (UTC)I don't really want to start making car payments again right now, though. If the clutch isn't the beginning of the end, I'd rather wait a few more years. I've only got about 125K km on it, so it should be good for another while.
