From the
altfriday5:
1. How far do you currently live from the place where you were born?
About 3000 km. St. John's, Newfoundland to Toronto
2. How many times have you moved* in your life?
Okay, that's one's tough. As a kid, not very often. Once when I was 3, and then again when I was 11. After I left for school, though? Lots. As part of co-op, I moved..11 times, I think. Then, after I graduated - 4 months on Keele (with P and
halfabee), 1 year on Dufferin, a year on Erskine(with
race29girl;
halfabee moved in once they got married), 5 years on Broadway, then Bamburgh, and now back to Broadway. That's another 6. So, I guess I've moved 19 times, 17 of those in the last 16 years. Ugh. I think I may wanna try to stay put for a while.
3. What was the shortest move, in terms of distance? The longest?
The shortest was Erskine to Broadway - one block south, and half a block west. I could walk from one to the other in about 2 minutes. The Longest? From St. John's to Waterloo, to go to school.
4. Have you ever moved for school? Love? Work?
Yes, no, and yes.
5. Did your family ever move when you were a child? How did that make you feel? (either moving or not moving)
We only moved twice, and I was really too young to remember the first one. The second one, we weren't moving far enough that I would have to change schools, or even be very far from my closest friends at the time, so I don't think I was horribly upset. I certainly don't remember being upset about it. Besides, I was getting my own bedroom, and not having to share a room with BabySis was undoubtedly a big plus. *g*
mzrowan notes: *moved as in "taken up permanent residence in a different domicile", not as in "changed the position of your body or parts thereof", you facetious buncha [grumble grumble grumble].
