Does the packing ever stop?

I've been the last 4 hours saying "okay, almost done." But the amount of stuff remaining to pack never seems to go down.

How is this possible?

I always found when packing at the end of term that I would alternate (several times) between thinking I didn't have much stuff, and being amazed at the amount of stuff.

Now that I have a house I know I have too much stuff and dread even the thought of packing it up.

I think you need the T.A.R.D.I.S. now to do one of two things. Zip to next week when all the craziness is over or go back to help yourself pack.

It's amazing how much stuff can just accumulate over a couple of years, y'know? I can't believe how much I got rid of, and I still have all this....stuff. I think I'll have to cull even further when unpacking, which kinda sucks. *g*

In the end, and least Step 1 of the move is done. Now, I just have to get through the next week. *g* Living out of boxes is kinda sucky, but I'm sure I'll manage. *g*

Yes, it's annoying to think that you went through the effort to move something that you are now going to discard. But you often are packing under time constraints and don't have the luxury to make keep/toss decisions.

Ya know, there are some boxes sitting the my basement which have a thick layer of dust on them - a good indication I don't really need what they contain. I donated my collection of Wired magazines to the library last year based largely on that fact.
