I spent yesterday afternoon learning to play Settlers of Catan with [livejournal.com profile] curgoth,[livejournal.com profile] mycrazyhair, [livejournal.com profile] whynotsteve, [livejournal.com profile] crystal_diva, and M (or Mr. M, as it seems he would prefer). It made for a very fun afternoon. Much thanks to [livejournal.com profile] mycrazyhair & [livejournal.com profile] whynotsteve for hosting, and to [livejournal.com profile] curgoth for his patience in teaching. *g* Doing it again sometime sounds like a lot of fun, so I'll have to try to find a copy of the game. I bet my sister & her fiance wold love playing it!

Mr. M & I then walked home up Yonge St, stopping in at a pub for supper. Reason #297 why I move living in Toronto: Being able to casually wander about until you can decide on a place to eat... after passing about, oooh, 1500(okay, slight exaggeration, maybe actually 20) restaurants in 20 minutes.

All in all, a good day. As was today, spend wandering and shopping for computer bits followed by lounging about at home. A nice, relaxing weekend - as most of them seem to be, these days. *g*

So, Mr. M & I have tickets to Carmen in a few weeks, and I've got a little dilemma.

What exactly is appropriate attire for an opera these days, anyway?

I was thinking a little black dress for me, and a sport coat & nice shirt for M, but will that have us overdressed? Underdressed? Has anybody been to a performance at the Canadian Opera Company recently and can give me some guidelines? I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!
