Pride!

In spite of a terribly cranky mood Friday night & part of Saturday, I actually had a pretty great weekend. I love living in Toronto on weekends like this - the overall vibe is just so positive, y'know?

Election Night in Canada

It's starting to look like we may actually get what I've thought is the best possible result all along. A Liberal-led minority government, who need a coalition with the NDP to keep them in power. Between the two parties, they seem likely to have enough seats to be stable, and hopefully the NDP can keep the worst of the Liberal excesses of the last decade under check.

The Conservatives as the official opposition I can live with. I just really, really didn't want them holding the reins, even in a minority situation.

And now, off to bed. I've been fighting to keep my eyes open for the last half-hour, and I think I'm officially going to give up.
