So, my many plans for finishing up wrapping gifts and doing Christmas cards, and such last night? Hard to do when the power went out just after 7, and didn't come back until almost 10:30. I'd just put a can of soup on the stove for supper, so supper actually consisted of mini rice cakes, a granola bar, and some fudge. Yeah, that's healthy :-) I then spent the night re-reading Memory by candlelight, so I guess the night wasn't a complete loss.
So, tonight, I have to do my laundry, finish the wrapping & cards, clean up my apartment, and generally get ready to go. Tomorrow, R&C are coming over for dinner & the whole gift-exchange thing, Thursday I'll pack, and Friday I have Christmas dinner for work, hopefully getting together with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
mycrazyhair, and seeing M. Then Saturday, I'm off! Home for a week - it should be good. I certainly hope I'll get some relaxing in there.
It's kinda funny, writing this - the rest of the year, home, for me, is here in Toronto. Christmastime, though, it's always my parent's place. They're not even living in the house I grew up in anymore, but their house is still "home", come this time of year. I guess, really, that they are home.
