That was fun!

M & I went to see Spamalot yesterday.

It was a lot of fun. I laughed, I cheered, I sang along at the end. 'Twas all good. I'd tell everyone to go, but I believe the last performance here in Toronto is tonight's. If you get a chance, though, go see it!

One of these days I'll learn how to write a real review...

On a side note, I have a vague memory of the rude French knights in a movie or TV show where they're, like, 3 inches tall. Two bickering knights (or something), throwing those insults back and forth at each other. (Your father smells of eldarberries!). M thought I was crazy, since I thought that was actually in Monty Python & The Holy Grail. Anyone else have any memory of that? What could I have seen that in?

Oh, I should have been clearer. Yes, that stuff was in Holy Grail. The reason it came up was that I remarked to Mike that for all that they followed the movie fairly closely, I guessed they couldn't have done the three inches tall thing, and he thought I was crazy.

The thing I rememberd was the characters being a couple of inches tall. Like, walking through a forest that was actually blades of grass tall. They used a lot of the same dialog, though, which is why I am confused. I wish I could remember where that was.

I've seen the movie countless times and I don't know of what you speak. Now there is a possibility that the scene you are talking about is from something completely different (not the python movie, but a different show completely).

They (the pythons) may have even parodied it in a later movie or skit that was aired years ago. The flying circus ended in 74 and the Grail was written till afterward so it may have been something that someone else did in parody of the Grail. That is one of the best taunting scenes I've ever seen on film, so its easy for someone to pick it as a target.
