D'oh!

I'm sitting here on the front porch, enjoying my morning coffee and the sunshine. I went to go into the house to get a refill on the coffee... and discovered that I've managed to lock myself out.

M's still asleep, and apparently he's not hearing my knocking.

The ringer's turned off on the phone, so I can't even call to wake him up.

Well, at least it's sunny out, and I even have tunes. *g*

Time for me to start knocking again...

ETA: Eventually I remembered that the bedroom window was open. And since the bedroom is on the ground floor, I just had to go over to the window and say his name a couple of times before he was up and let me in. He didn't stop laughing at me, though...

Heh. Well at least you have your internet.

Say, have you seen [livejournal.com profile] outcastspice's post about starting a book club here in town? Sounds interesting.

Yeah, that would be a "d'oh" alright. Hope you escaped back to the inside world successfully.

Yup, make it back inside, no problem. I felt very stupid, but no harm was done. *g*

I was in Toronto this weekend, helping [livejournal.com profile] amarylliss move house. When the van arrived, we all got excited and carried stuff outside. Got it packed in the van, turned around, and were greeted with the exclamation "We just locked ourselves out!"

It was a 6-apartment building, and luckily, within five minutes, one of her neighbours had come down to the front door. It was just coincidence, though, because apparently his doorbell (one of the six we'd been ringing furiously) doesn't work.

Oy.
